During a few years of intensive creative and concert activity, Gediminas Gelgotas shaped an original conception of art that is revealed in a new form of concerts - a musical mystery. The musical mysteries presented by the young artist (Without a Double Hatch, 2006; Musicality of Life, 2007; Exi(s)t, 2008) do not only receive wide interest of society and press and shape a new generation of music performers and listeners but they also influence modern art trends in Lithuania.

In 2006 Gelgotas founded and now conducts New Ideas Chamber Orchestra NICO, characterised by its exceptional working conception. Working with the orchestra, the creator is in constant search for ways to help develop academic mastery of a performer as well as raise his/her emotional intelligence, which significantly broadens the concept of a professional musician.

Gediminas Gelgotas studies in the classes of the most prominent musicians of today: the composer V. Barkauskas, the conductor G. Rinkevčius at Lithuanian Music and Theatre Academy. He is a laureate of international and national competitions, a participant of various festivals. The works of the composer have been performed in different festivals in Lithuania, Latvia, Russia, Finland, Germany, Italy, the USA and elsewhere since 2006.
